Depending on what you choose to do on Truemelytics, you may provide:
If you share personal data about someone else, you must ensure you have their permission.

If you buy something, we collect:
* purchase details (plan, price, timestamps)
* billing info needed for invoicing and taxes (for example, country or state)

We generally do not store full card details. Payments are handled by payment processors.

When you use the site, we may collect:
* IP address, device type, browser type and version
* approximate location (derived from IP)
* pages viewed, clicks, session timestamps, referring URLs
* log data for security and debugging
4) Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar tools to:
* keep you signed in
* remember settings (language, preferences)
* store or retrieve assessment progress and results (where applicable)
* run analytics to understand usage and improve the site
Some cookies are necessary for core functions. You can block cookies in your browser, but parts of the site may not work.
Analytics and advertising measurement
We may use services such as:
. Google Analytics (usage analytics)
. Meta Pixel (ad measurement, typically only if you have an existing customer relationship or you consent where required)
These providers may use cookies and similar tools. You can manage preferences through your browser and relevant provider opt out tools.
5) How we use your information
We use personal data to:
1. Provide the service (accounts, assessments, results, features you request)
2. Communicate with you (password resets, receipts, service messages)
3. Process payments and prevent payment fraud
4. Personalize content (showing relevant guidance or content based on your assessments)
5. Improve Truemelytics (testing, bug fixes, feature development, analytics)
6. Research and statistics to improve our understanding of personality patterns (typically using anonymized or pseudonymized datasets and aggregate outputs)
7. Safety and security (fraud detection, abuse prevention, enforcement of terms)
8. Legal compliance (responding to lawful requests, maintaining required records)
Under India’s DPDP framework, we provide clear notices and obtain valid consent where required.
6) Legal basis for processing (India)
For users in India, we process personal data under the DPDP Act, 2023 and DPDP Rules, 2025.
Common grounds include:
* Consent you provide through clear affirmative action (for example, creating an account, taking optional assessments, opting into newsletters)
* Performance of a contract (to deliver paid services you purchase)
* Legitimate uses and legal obligations as permitted by law, including security, fraud prevention, and compliance tasks (as applicable)
Sensitive Personal Data (SPDI) under IT Rules 2011
Where information you provide falls under “Sensitive Personal Data or Information” categories under India’s SPDI Rules (for example, passwords, financial details, health related information, biometrics if ever collected), we apply SPDI safeguards including consent and controlled disclosure rules.
7) How and when we share information
We do not share personal data with third parties for their direct marketing.
We may share limited data with:
. Service providers who help us run the platform (hosting, email delivery, analytics, customer support, payments)
* Professional advisers (lawyers, auditors) when necessary
* Authorities if required by law, or to protect users, investigate fraud, or address credible safety threats
.Business transfers if we undergo a merger, acquisition, or restructuring (with appropriate protections)
Where SPDI Rules apply, disclosure of SPDI to third parties requires prior permission unless an exception under law applies.
Community and public areas
If you post in public areas (comments, profiles, community spaces), others may see that information. You can reduce exposure by using privacy settings (where available) and avoiding posting sensitive details.
8) International transfers
We may use providers outside India. If personal data is processed outside India, we take steps to protect it through contracts, access controls, and security measures.
Under India’s DPDP framework, cross border transfers are permitted subject to restrictions or conditions that may be notified by the Government of India, and subject to any stricter sectoral rules that apply.
9) Data retention
We keep data only as long as needed for:
* delivering the service,
* maintaining security and fraud prevention,
* meeting legal, tax, and accounting obligations,
* resolving disputes, and
* supporting research and improvement (often in anonymized or aggregated form).
* Examples (you should tune these to your operations and legal advice):
* payment and invoice records: up to [X years]
* security logs: [X months/years]
* inactive accounts: review and deletion or anonymization after [X years] (unless needed for legal or security reasons)
If you delete your account, we may anonymize certain records rather than removing everything immediately, especially where we must keep records for legal compliance or platform integrity.
10) Your choices and rights
India (DPDP)
You can request:
* access to information about processing,
* correction, completion, updating, and erasure (where applicable), and
* grievance redressal.
You can also withdraw consent for optional processing. Withdrawal may affect your ability to use features that require that data.
SPDI Rules (IT Rules 2011)
You can review and correct your information, and you can withdraw consent for SPDI processing, subject to service limitations.
To exercise rights, contact us at [connect@truemelytics.com] from your registered email so we can verify your request.
11) Security
We use reasonable security practices and procedures to protect personal data, including administrative, technical, and physical safeguards. Under India’s IT Act, failure to protect sensitive personal data can create liability for a body corporate, so we treat security as a core obligation.
No online system is completely risk free. Please avoid sharing highly sensitive information in public areas.
Personal data breach notification
If a personal data breach occurs, we follow applicable breach response and notification requirements under India’s DPDP framework.
12) Children’s privacy
Truemelytics is not intended for children. If you are under 18, please do not use our services or create an account. If we learn we have collected personal data of a child, we will take steps to delete it and disable the account, subject to legal requirements. (DPDP treats a child as under 18.)
13) Grievance redressal and complaints
Grievance Officer (India)
In line with India’s SPDI Rules, we designate a Grievance Officer and aim to address grievances within the timelines required by applicable rules.
Grievance Officer: Ambi
Email: connect@truemelytics.com
Address: Aliganj Lucknow
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may have the right to escalate under the DPDP framework to the appropriate authority such as the Data Protection Board of India, as applicable.
14) Content rules and intermediary compliance (if community features exist)
If Truemelytics hosts user generated content (profiles, posts, comments, messages), we may act as an “intermediary” and apply due diligence measures under India’s IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, including handling lawful takedown requests and user complaints as required.
15) Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the “Last modified” date.
